Martin Cheek makes fused glass for mosaics and has selected Skeew to supply the backers for his fused glass kits. Skeewbackers are ultra lightweight, waterproof and do not need to be sealed. Just install your hanging system and you are ready to start your mosaic. Remember to install hanging kit before you start to mosaic. 

These Skeewbackers are constructed from a rigid polystyrene foam core sandwiched between waterproof membranes. If you wish to paint the edges, use appropriate paints with no solvents, as solvents will compromise the foam core center. You can also put grout or thinset over the edges.
