Skeewbackers are ultra lightweight, and can be used indoors or outdoors. These Skeewbackers are constructed from a 1/2" thick rigid polystyrene foam core sandwiched between waterproof membranes. We recommend you paint the edges with acrylics, so use appropriate adhesives and paints with no solvents, as solvents will compromise the foam core center. Do not use spray paint as this will warp the boards. You can also put grout or thinset over the edges.  Before you mosaic your Skeewbacker, read this!!!

We have made 1/2" hanging systems for them that you can select with the backer or you can use your own. Shapes are pre-drilled for hangable and stakeable hanging kits. Remember, install hanging kit before you start to mosaic. Watch how to install the stakeables here.
