Skeewbacker Shapes are ultra lightweight, and can be used indoors or outdoors. They make great garden art, house numbers, signs, and wall decor.  

We have made hanging systems for them that you can select with the backer or you can use your own. Shapes are pre-drilled for hanging kits.

These shapes are constructed from a 1/2" thick rigid polystyrene foam core sandwiched between waterproof membranes. We recommend you either tile or paint the edges. If you use paint, acrylics is the best. Make sure to use appropriate adhesives and paints with no solvents, as solvents will compromise the foam core center. Do not use spray paint as this will warp the boards. You can also put grout or thinset over the edges.  Before you mosaic your Skeewbacker, read this!!!

EDGES: If your grout does not stick well to the edges, add weld bond instead of water to your grout powder. Mix well to a peanut-butter consistency; then apply only to the edges. This will dry hard and your grout will not rub off.

We now also offer our Skeewbackers with guidelines (patterns) printed on the backer so you can easily follow the inspirational images we have created with each. Recommend you use a laptop to see these inspirational images larger so you can better be inspired by the colors and the flow of the tiles.
