How to Install the Spinner Hardware for 6" Shape Spinners

Follow these instructions for the Bird Spinner, Butterfly, Heart and all the other Shapes. The Ring Spinner is different so see that blog post.

So happy you have purchased our Spinner Rings to mosaic and enjoy for a long time! Great for gifts and for selling a shows too!

Use this hanging kit for all 12" ring and 6" shape spinners.

First, you will need a pair of needle-nosed pliers. It is for bending and crimping the wire.

 What's Included in hardware package:

2 large S-hooks, 1 toothpick, 2 ball bearings, 4 crystal beads, One 4” wire

Here is our set of instructions on how to assemble the spinner hardware for your 12” ring and 6" shape spinner set.

NOTE: You can adjust the height of the inner shape in relation to the large outer ring by adjusting the number of beads you use. The fewer, the higher up it will hang; the more beads you use, the lower it will hang. Add at your discretion!

Steps:

  • Place the large ring on your working surface
  • Using the toothpick push it down through the center of the 1/2” thick foam core of the large ring. This is where your wire for the hanging system will go through.

Leave the toothpick in place - then go ahead and complete your mosaic and grouting on both spinners - DO NOT COVER UP THE HOLES WHERE THE WIRES GO THROUGH. When your mosaic is finished and dry, you will then assemble the hardware.

Assembly: We start from the bottom up.

  • Start with one S-hook and using the wide open end, run it through the pre-drilled hole in your small spinner shape. The small loop should be positioned at the top.

  • Open the loop of the S-hook a little (if needed) with your pliers enough to slide one ball bearing eye through and crimp end closed.

  • Take the 4” wire and put one end through the top ball bearing eye, and using your needle nose plier, bend the wire over the ball bearing eye to secure it.

  • Add 1-4 of the beads to the wire - depending on where you want your shape to hang. Use your discretion! Suggest you lay it out on a surface with your shape and ring to estimate how many beads you want.

  • Remove the toothpick from top ring and poke the wire up through the hole from the bottom through to the top.

  • Add remaining bead.

  • Add remaining ball bearing and crimp shut.

  • Take last S-hook and slip small end through ball bearing loop

Here's what it should look like when finished:

If you need to adjust the height of where the inner shape hangs, just remove/add beads.
